For additional distance learning opportunities, the Virginia Community College System has information at: http://www.so.vccs.edu/vccsonline.

In-state cost per credit hour: $72.74  A three credit course is $218.22.  The Out of State E-rate is $136.00 per credit with a three credit course costing $408.00. Students new to distance learning courses must attend the General Orientation Session in Whitman Auditorium or complete the online distance learning orientation. All students must also attend one of the face to face orientation sessions their instructor provides for their course or complete the online version for each distance learning class in which they are enrolled.  Handouts with the instructor, course, and room number information for the face to face orientation will be available outside Whitman Auditorium.  The online orientations will be located on http://learn.vccs.edu in each distance learning course.  To complete the online orientation, locate your username and password by clicking on Student Online and following the directions to locate your username and password, and then log on to Blackboard 6 using that user name and password. Students who enroll in a 2nd 8 week course will be contacted by their instructor to meet at a later date. Hybrid courses will have their orientation at the first class meeting.

Students enrolled in courses using videotapes may check out materials from the Library, 3rd floor Circulation Desk on August 18 and thereafter. Download the latest orientation room schedule as a word doc.

Courses are arranged in alphabetical order. The five-digit code number is for STAR/SOAR self-registration. Please note that textbooks are required for most courses and are available in the Bookstore. Classes begin August 22, 2005 and end December 8, 2005.
