Below is a list of courses offered via distance learning to fulfill the requirements for the  AS Degree in Social Sciences from Virginia Western. For complete information on degree requirements refer to the college catalog.
Virginia Western's Social Sciences  program is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university and major in a field in the area of social sciences. The program has been approved by the Virginia Community College System and the State Council of Higher Education as a transfer degree.  In addition, Virginia Western's distance learning activities are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

  MTH 157  Elementary Statistics (or elective) may be used in place of MTH 152. 3 cr.

               available via distance learning from some other colleges in the VCCS.
